Helping Everyone Reach Our Extrodinary Students is a 21st Century Community Learning Center where the activities are structured to convince students that "After-School" is NOT School although homework assistance & tutoring is done by Certified Instructors.

- Engaging Academic Activities to Complement and Enhance School Day

- Recreational, Cultural, and Enrichment Activities Actitivies that will Deter At-Risk Behavior

- Making Parents Partner in Student Learning

- Educational Opportunities for Parents & Families

Objectives:

- to make incremental SOL gains to narrow the gap vetween shcool & state scores

- to increase the number of students achieving greater than one year's growth in reading and math proficiency

- to increase the number of parents involved in learning activities

- to increase student participation in daytime recreational or enrichment activities

- to decrease daytime discipline referrals

Students also engage in a variety of Enhrichment Activiites including recreational activities not offered in shcool programs to minimize absences, and provide a creative outlet during after-school hours. Artwork is displayed, and performing arts recitals are held quarterly to showcase student talent and ability.
